We have also inspected details of the domain http://cruzinvest.uk. It appears this domain was registered this year and not 10 years ago. It is not possible that this company was operating on another domain. If that was the case, they would have mentioned it. It is also set to expire in January 2019, which is yet another indication that the owner of the site has no long term plans to continue this business. This further discredits their 10 years of existence story. It is hard to believe that a business that has existed for more than 10 years can operate a website whose domain is supposed to expire in a few months from now. When you come across such a company, it would be imperative to listen to your instincts carefully. This usually means that the company is keen on not exposing the people behind the operation simply because they are shady and wouldn’t want to expose themselves to the world.
Based on this alone, we are going to rate it poorly afterwards because generally there is no trust towards this company. The trust level is so low since they are 100% anonymous and the claims which they make on the site cannot be verified either.
We don’t think you’d be too comfortable investing with a company whose owners are mysterious. No investor would be comfortable in this situation. We would also like to say that the alleged 20 years of experience is just a lie. If the company cannot introduce some of their top employees, then it simply makes sense to say that the people behind it are not experienced, and in the worst case scenario, we don’t even have employees here at all.
Cruz Investment is among the shady companies that have been listed on the FMSA website. The FMSA claims that they are unregistered and that means they are also a scam. We just don’t see how a company that has existed for more than a decade can fail to register with the relevant financial regulators to operate without any interference from the authorities. This company has not acquired any license, and it’s actually a bad gesture because the world now view them as a scam and not a legit company.
It is not clear whether they are charging members of the public for the services which they offer. However, most scams that operate similar to Cruz Invest will at some point charge a commission or a fee for the service which they have rendered. These fees are nowhere to be found on the site. The site is not upfront on what they charge for the service they render. Again, this lack of transparency is a serious red flag because investors could just be slapped with fees which they did not anticipate.
It is foolish to trust operations that lack credibility. We are not sure whether professionals are involved in this operation.
